ARTIFACT:
This is a circa late 1930s to World War II officer's lapel pin for the Italian Fascist Youth. The group began in 1926 as the ONB (Opera Nazionale Balilla) and was renamed GIL (Giuventu Italiana del Littorio) in 1937. Si tratta di una spilla ufficiale per la giovent fascista italiano dal 1930 attraverso la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Il gruppo ha iniziato nel 1926 come Opera Nazionale Balilla ed stato rinominato Giovent Italiana del Littorio nel 1937.
VINTAGE:
Circa late 1930s - World War II. Circa 1930 - Seconda guerra mondiale.
SIZE:
Approximately 1" in height and 5/8" in width. Circa 2.5 cm di 1.6 cm.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gold-plated brass, enamel. Ottone dorato, smalto.
