ARTIFACT: This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States 3rd Engineer Battalion by Meyer. The DI is a displays a Roman numeral III at its center and a beaver, the arms of New Netherlands. The mammal is topped by a palm leaf.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/4" in height 3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK and maker mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LBDX10/11 SBDX1/16

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The DI shows some very small spots of light wear and a small piece of the enamel is missing.
