ARTIFACT: This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 27th Infantry Division. The DI shows the head of a wolf and reads NEC ASPERA TERRENT (frightened by no difficulties).

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in height and 13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enameled areas.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK with maker mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LBHX10/11 SBHX1/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some light wear and some slight oxidation, and two very small dings to the enamel in the corners.
