ARTIFACT: This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States 1st Field Artillery Regiment by American Metal Crafts. The DI shows a stand of grapes at its center and is topped by a tower and a maple leaf. The DI reads PRIMUS AUT NULLUS (first or not at all).

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/4" in height 1" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: AMERICAN METAL CRAFTS CO. ATTLEBORO MASS; scratched initials.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LBDX10/11

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows some light wear and areas of tarnish.
