ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1930s Special Deputy Sheriff of Cuyahoga County, Ohio badge that originally belonged to Martin E. Blum, a Cleveland lawyer, prosecutor, policeman and judge. His long and varied career started in 1924 when he became an assistant police prosecutor. He was also a president of the Cuyahoga County Bar Association and a chairman of the Ohio State Housing Board. Blum passed away in 1981. We also have an Ohio State Highway Patrol badge that also belonged to Blum that is being sold separately (please see link at bottom of this page for more information).

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/16" in height and 1-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old Ohio police and law enforcement badge collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX07 LADEX1/14 SADEM10/31/19

CONDITION: 7+ (Fine-Very Fine): The badge shows some areas of light wear and tarnishing, mostly on reverse.
