ARTIFACT: This is a circa late 1930s pin in enameled 14 karat gold for twenty-five years of service with the Hoover Vacuum Company. This company, whose brand name became a household synonym for the act of vacuuming itself, was started in North Canton, Ohio in 1908. The pin reads IBAISAIC, the acronym for the Hoover slogan "IT BEATS AS IT SWEEPS AS IT CLEANS".

VINTAGE: Circa late 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 7/16" in height and 3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 14 karat gold, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with partially sleeved disc backing, stabilization post.

MARKINGS: E3 THE HOOVER CO. NORTH CANTON OHIO.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The pin has very little wear.
