ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1930s worker badge for Elisco (Elyria Iron & Steel Company) in Cleveland, Ohio. Elisco manufactured steel tubing for both automobile and railroad applications, and was making their product at least as early as 1916. The badge is beautifully enameled in cobalt blue and numbered 260C. It was made by Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK, N.J.
