ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1930s advertising bottle opener for Portsmouth Ale, made by the Eldredge Brewing Company (EBC) of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The Eldredge Brewing Company (first known as M. Fisher Brewing Co.) was established in 1860 and was a competitor with its neighbors, the Frank Jones Brewing Company, and Portsmouth Brewing Company (aka the Harris and Mathes Co.). The opener has an image of a bottle of Portsmouth Ale on the handle.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/8" in length and 1-7/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Hole.

MARKINGS: None.
