ARTIFACT:
1930's - 1940's Cleveland, Ohio Imperial Beverage Company Private Watchman/Guard Badge. The beverage company was established in 1933 and the center of the large badge features the State Seal of Ohio in lovely detail showing the mountains and setting sun, surrounding it reads: "PRIVATE IMPERIAL BEVERAGE CO." in black painted details. The top of the badge features a perched eagle with wings spread and head bowed and the base of the badge is nicely detailed to resemble tail feathers, the base is left unnumbered.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1930's - 1940's.
SIZE:
Approximately 2 3/8" in height x 2 1/8" in width
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Chrome plated brass, black paint.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.
MARKINGS:
"PAT 2066969" on pinback.

CONDITION:
7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows minor to moderate surface wear mostly to the painted details, nearly all of the plating details remain intact.
