ARTIFACT:
This is the first naval ship badge for the French cruiser "Colbert". The badge was made by by Arthus Bertrand circa 1928-1930. The ship was launched on April 20, 1928 and notably participated as part of the 3rd Squadron in the bombardment of Genoa (Operation Samoyède). She was scuttled at Toulon in 1942. The badge is the Colbert coat of arms (a serpent on a shield) on an anchor. Ceci est le premier insigne navale pour le contre-torpilleur Colbert. C'est le premier badge navale pour le contre-torpileur Colbert. L'insigne a été faite par d'Arthus Bertrand circa 1928-1930. Le navire a été lancé le 20 avril 1928 et a notamment participé au bombardement de Gênes (Opération Samoyède) dans le cadre du 3e Escadron. Elle a été sabordée à Toulon en 1942. Le badge est le manteau des bras Colbert (un serpent sur un bouclier) sur une ancre.

Plated brass. Laiton plaqué.
