ARTIFACT: This is a 1920s issue helmet plate for the Coldstream Guards, the oldest continuously-serving regiment in the British Regular Army. The badge is a sunburst that reads HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE (shame upon him who thinks evil upon it).

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: 4-1/8" height and 3-3/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Tubular loop.

MARKINGS: Marks on attachment.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Plate has moderate wear with one dent to center and spots of light tarnish.
