ARTIFACT: Nice 1920's – 30's US Postal Office Letter Carrier hat badge. The stamped oval badge features an eagle with spread wings facing the viewer's left at the top and below reads: "U.S. POST OFFICE KEENE, N. H." and the center is numbered: "12". The reverse shows a nice maker's mark that reads: "N.C. WALTER & SONS, NEW YORK" and the original retaining pin.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's – 30's

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" x 2"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped nickel

ATTACHMENT: Two loops/lugs and original safety style retaining pin.

MARKINGS: "N.C. WALTER & SONS, NEW YORK"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Postal collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX16 LADEX5/16 SADEX8/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The hat badge shows mild to moderate wear, much of the nickel plating remains intact, overall excellent condition.
