ARTIFACT: 1920's – 1930's Fairchild, Connecticut police officer hat badge for the rank of Lieutenant or higher. The center of the badge is a smooth disc that reads: "POLICE FAIRFIELD CONN." in blue enamel detail and is surrounded by a nice wreath embellishment with crossed batons at the center bottom. The reverse shows a maker's mark that reads: "THE C. G. BRAXMAR CO. 216 E. 45 ST. N. Y."

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's – 1930's

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/8" x 1-3/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel

ATTACHMENT: Single post with screwback and stabilizer pin

MARKINGS: "THE C. G. BRAXMAR CO. 216 E. 45 ST. N. Y."

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge shows moderate wear, much of the gilt and some of the enameled details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
