ARTIFACT: 1916 Watercolor, Autumn Wetlands scene, probably Connecticut. The painting is contained within a period frame and accented with a period matte, it was hand-framed in Connecticut by Curtis H. Moyer. The watercolor was painted by American Daniel F. Wentworth (1850 ??? 1934), known for painting landscapes, animals, and still life. He was born in Maine, but lived most of his life in Connecticut and he studied as an artist in Munich, though his training period there was short, as such he was mostly self-taught.

VINTAGE: Circa 1916

SIZE: Approximately 29" x 24"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Watercolor, matte, wood frame, nails, wire, stamp, ink.

ATTACHMENT: Metal wire for hanging.

MARKINGS: "CURTIS H. MOYER PICTURES AND FRAMES 106 PRATT ST., HARTFORD ??? CONN."

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The painting and frame show minor to moderate wear, paper backing has been removed and does not detract, overall excellent condition.
