The watercolor was painted by American Daniel F. Wentworth (1850 ??? 1934), known for painting landscapes, animals, and still life. He was born in Maine, but lived most of his life in Connecticut and he studied as an artist in Munich, though his training period there was short, as such he was mostly self-taught.
