ARTIFACT: This is a rectangular folk-art box in a beautiful reddish wood with a sliding lid, beveled inside edges and dovetailed joints. The lid bears carved layered wood veneers of the Annapolis Naval Academy logo and is dated 1915.

VINTAGE: Circa 1915.

SIZE: 10-7/8" length and 5-15/16" width and 3-7/8" depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wood with painted area.

ATTACHMENT: Lid slides.

MARKINGS: Initial P? scratched beneath logo.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Naval collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months.  MGEX03 LAIEX9/10 SLAFEX6/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Box has some light to medium abrasions.
