ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1890s meter reader badge for the Roxbury Gas Light Company of Roxbury, Massachusetts. The badge is small and oval and has a B at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/16" in height and 1-15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass with painted areas.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin with forked locking catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge shows light wear and tarnish and some very small spots of oxidation and missing paint.
