ARTIFACT: This is an 1890s American Express Company padlock and lead seal. The key has an oval head reads AM. EX CO. and the lead seal is roughly round and reads AM EX CO 833.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890s.

SIZE: Key: 1-15/16 height and 1-1/16" width; seal: 13/16" height and 11/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Key: steel; seal: lead.

ATTACHMENT: Wire connecting key and seal.

MARKINGS: N/A.
