ARTIFACT: Circa 1880's – 1900's New York City Post Office City Delivery Service Chest Badge. The badge it stopped with a bowed head, spread winged eagle and beneath a circular center shows an image of a paddle and railway wheel blended together with single wing in core and a postal envelope below and the base or skirt of the badge is numbered: "7847"

VINTAGE: Circa 1880's – 1900's

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/8" x 1-3/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silvered nickel

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with 'C' type catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The hat badge shows moderate wear, mostly to high points and some of the plating details remain intact.
