VINTAGE: Circa 1830's.

SIZE: 5-1/16" in height and 6-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Leather on leather; lead-filled brass plate.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJJX08 LHEJX 7/10 SLFGEX4/16 TLEGEX7/16 SEGEX03/24/21

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Martingale is in fine condition with some light abrasions and very small cracks in leather and a crack in the brass on the eagle's left wing (right wing as viewed) near the shield at center. It does not detract from the overall beauty of the piece, but it is clearly cracked through the wing at this small point.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
