ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1926 graduation pin for the University of California (Hospital) Training School for Nurses, which started educating nurse in 1907. The diamond-shaped pin is in beautifully enameled 14 karat gold by Shreve & Company, a San Francisco maker, and the nurse's name is engraved on reverse. .

VINTAGE: Circa 1926.

SIZE: Approximately 13/16"x 13/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 14 karat gold with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: EMILY M. BIELSKI AUG. 18, 1926 SHREVE & CO. 14K.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin has only some light wear and tarnish, with a slight nick to the enamel.
