ARTIFACT: This is a 10 karat gold pin for forty years of service to the Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company by Balfour. The pin reads NEWPORT NEWS SHIPBUILDING & DRY DOCK CO. 40 and shows the company's logo at center with a gear, trident and NN.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s-1960s.

SIZE: 5/8" height and 7/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 10 karat gold with white and blue enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: LGB 10K.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Merchant Marine collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEX09 LHEX5/10 SHEX11/10

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): Pin shows only minor wear around lettering in logo.
