ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful 10 karat gold Deputy Fire Chief badge from Lawrence, Massachusetts with a personal presentation engraved on it circa 1918. Badge with scalloped edging depicts three crossed bugles with a red enamel circle at center reading DEPUTY CHIEF. Engraved on the front are the words LAWRENCE FIRE DEPT.

VINTAGE: Circa 1918.

SIZE: 2-1/4" height and 1-5/8" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 10 karat gold with red enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical brass pin with drop-in swivel catch.

MARKINGS: PRESENTED TO MICHAEL McPHEE BY HIS FRIENDS FEB. 4 , 1918 engraved on reverse.
