ARTIFACT: This is a cool old circa 1930s "sap", a lead-loaded self-defense weapon that was reportedly carried by a State of Maine Game Warden. The weapon's body is covered with woven leather, and a stable but delicate lanyard is attached at the non-"business" end. It has a great "look".

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 8-3/4" in length and 1-1/4" in diameter (at the "business" end).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wood, leather, lead (inside), metal eye hook.

ATTACHMENT: Lanyard, eye hook.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement weapons collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. PEJL13 LABEX11/13 SABEX12/13

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The sap looks to have had a period recovering at the "business" end; stable but delicate lanyard.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
