ARTIFACT: This is a great circa 1890s wooden bottle crate from Thomas Loughlin, Bottler of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The crate was meant to hold a dozen bottles, although one half of a long partition wall has been lost. There are very nice clear impressed and painted company name markings on all four faces of the crate plus some inside.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890s.

SIZE: Approximately 18-7/8" in length and 5-3/8" in height and 13-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wood, iron bindings.

ATTACHMENT: Holes for handles, grooves for partitions, iron bindings, nails.

MARKINGS: REGISTERED.

CONDITION: 6 (Fine+): The crate shows some light to medium wear and tarnish and one half of a divider piece is missing.
