ARTIFACT: Great 1940's, Cold War Era, Civil Defense Badge from Lebanon, Illinois made by S. G. Adams Co. in St. Louis. The badge is round, with a perched eagle on top, the center features a painted red, white, and blue civil defense logo and letters with painted detail read: "CIVILIAN DEFENSE LEBANON, ILL."

VINTAGE: Circa 1940's

SIZE: Approximately 2 3/8" x 1 5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome plated nickel and paint.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop in swivel locking catch.

MARKINGS: "S. G. ADAMS CO. ST. LOUIS, MO. PAT. 2066969".

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Cold War Civil Defense collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCEX15 LAEJX4/15

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): Badge shows light to moderate surface wear mostly on high points and most of the plating and painted details remain intact.
