ARTIFACT:
This is a rarely found, and getting even harder to find circa late 1950s United States Air Force Air Police badge Type 2. The badge is numbered 53695 and has an inset at its center in blue and white enamel. The initials of the original owner are nicely scratched on the reverse.
VINTAGE:
Circa late 1950s.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-9/16" in height and 1-11/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Silver-plated brass, enameled areas.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:
53695 on front; JTB initials scratched on reverse; PROPERTY OF THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.
