ARTIFACT: This is a rare circa 1933-1934 National Recovery Administration (NRA) store participant banner. After almost eighty years, this short-lived but nation-wide recovery plan of Roosevelt's New Deal is still memorable for its boost to the US economy and the bold graphics that went along with it. But very few examples of these bold graphics exist any larger than a celluloid button, making this large, but extremely displayable sized banner even more exceptional. This banner is shrink-wrapped to a foam board (not as shown in photos).

VINTAGE: Circa 1933-1934.

SIZE: Approximately 29-1/2" in height by 22-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silk-screen printed on canvas, woven cotton fringe.

ATTACHMENT: Grommets.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This banner will be shipped shrink-wrapped to a black foam board, unless arrangements are made for us to remove the shrink wrap mounting. This is from a homefront collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEJX12 LDGEX12/12 SDDJX9/13

CONDITION: 6- (Fine): The banner has some areas of moderate wear, mostly along the edge.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
