ARTIFACT: This is a 1930s - World War II United States Marine Corps grouping from Sergeant and later Major Joseph P. Cushing. The grouping contains two collar insignia by Meyer, an Australian-made eagle, globe and anchor, an EGA made by H&H Imperial, three major leaf insignia, a USMC tie bar, a button, a North China Officer's Club card, a Marine Corps ID card, a Geneva Conventions ID card, a Marine Corps Motor Vehicle Operator's Permit, two dog tags (one from 1930s as a China Marine), two Chinese coins and some paper currency, several photographs of Cushing (some with handwritten notes on reverse), correspondence from the VA and an unused Guadalcanal decal in its original wax paper envelope.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s - World War II.

SIZE: All items are various sizes.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Collar insignia: gold-plated sterling silver; white metal dog tags; copper coins; other insignia of various materials.

ATTACHMENT: Various.

MARKINGS: Collar insignia:. STERLING MEYER 1/20 10K with maker's mark; EGA: K. G. LUKE MELBOURNE; IMPERIAL with H&H maker's mark; W.B. on two of the three major leaves; tie bar: HICKOK U.S.A. SER. 142; button: WATERBURY BUTTON CO.
