ARTIFACT: This is an amazingly rare Model 1877 United States Marine Corps officer cap EGA (eagle, globe and anchor). This EGA is in a pin-back style with a great old T-style pin. The detailing is very nice, from the textured "oceans" to the delicately looping rope. We are selling a Model 1877 collar EGA separately (please see link at bottom of page for more details).

VINTAGE: Circa early 1880s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-11/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Diagonal T-style pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Marine Corps collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VACJJX13 LFGEJX3/13 SCJJJX10/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The EGA shows only very light wear.
