ARTIFACT: Rare WWI 314th Machine Gun Battalion, 80th Infantry Division United States Army Officer collar insignia and shoulder patch. The collar insignia depicts two crossed guns with the letters: "MG" on either side and the number: "314" above. The shoulder patch is embroidered olive drab with a red machine gun on a tripod.

VINTAGE: Circa mid-World War II

SIZE: Approximately Collar Insignia: 2" x 1"; Shoulder Patch: 2" x 1-3/4".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Blackened bronze, nickel pin, embroidered olive drab canvas with red silk/polyester/cotton thread.

ATTACHMENT: Collar insignia: Horizontal nickel pin with 'C' catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VABEX15 LBGEX6/15 SBGEX01/19 (GCADH/GEX)

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+ Overall): Collar insignia shows minor to moderate wear, nearly all the plating details remain intact. Shoulder patch shows minor to moderate wear, an area of separation and slight fading/soiling, removed from uniform.
