ARTIFACT: This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 12th Engineer Battalion by Meyer. The DI is a red and silver shield with columns supporting a brick structure and reads ID PERFICIEMUS (we shall consummate the task).

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height 1-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK with maker mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LABX10/11

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The DI has an area of discoloration and a hairline crack to the enamel.
